A Simple, Powerful Formula
In the self help circles, there’s a saying that goes “Take the average of the incomes of your 5 closest friends and you get yours.”
Coincidentally, all highly successful Network Marketers say that most of their income comes from just 4 to 5 leaders in their organisation.
At first, I didn’t think too much about my income being the average of my 5 closest friends. I didn’t really believe in this statement because I didn’t have 5 close friends. I only had 2 or 3 people in my life, aside from my family, that I would consider close confidants, and I didn’t know what their incomes were.
But that’s not really the message of that statement. What I now believe it’s saying is you become the 5 people you associate with the most.
So for instance, you become an alcoholic if the 5 people you associate most with are alcoholics. You become a typical middle class citizen earning $70,000 a year if the 5 people you associate with most are that way.
You will become a multi-millionaire if the 5 people you associate with the most are multi-millionaires.
The only thing separating these groups of people is their mindset. This is why you should NEVER take financial advice or business advice from broke people living paycheck to paycheck if you want to become a Network Marketing millionaire.
To get anywhere substantial in business and life you’ve got to build an A-team. You’ve got to surround yourself with a close circle of winners. These are people who have the same aspirations, vision and values as you do and they are going to influence you the most.
This group won’t just influence your income, but all aspects of your business and life. Which is why they all need to be winners.
A lot of new Network Marketers are happy if they can sponsor anybody into their business. I can certainly relate to that. But that’s not the right mindset to have, and it’s not what the professionals do. The Pros are very selective about who they sponsor. They sort for winners, and cut loose the losers.
And so should you.
So, the simple formula for creating massive wealth in Network Marketing is just sponsor 5 leaders who will never quit, who are 100% committed to their prosperity.
Get to know your prospects intimately and qualify them first. Are they coachable? Did they look at all the material you gave them and follow your specific instructions? Is their “WHY” as least as big as yours?
Remember: MLM is a sorting business, NOT a sales business.

You hit the nail on the head! It’s so important to surround yourself with the right people. Successful people look for relationships with other successful people who will push, challenge and encourage them to become better.
It makes sense to only work with a handful of serious and motivated entrepreneurs who will never quit than everyone you come across.
I’m grateful to have found a cutting-edge system that sorts and filters – no more working with whiners, not serious about building a long-term business.

I agree that we should not just sponsor someone to sponsor them because you would be wasting more time. Find the people that want to work and you will never have to work again.

Such a great message (as usual!) I think that one thing that hung me up in the beginning was wanting to save people with my business. I didn’t really get the concept of sponsoring up…I thought that everyone who needed this business badly enough would be successful. As you know, that was not the case. There is definitely a mindset that someone needs to have in order to be successful in network marketing! Being around others who have a success mindset is essential. Masterminding can be so effective too!

Excellent advice! The bigger is better and more is magnificent idea is not required for success in network marketing. Having a handful of effective team members who each have a handful of effective team members and so on is what this industry is all about and the way to earn a fantastic residual income.
