How To Attract Targeted MLM Leads To You

Have you ever received a phone call, in the middle of dinner, from a doctor asking you if might just happen to be sick and would like some treatment or diagnosis? I doubt it. I’ve never received any such phone call.

You go to the doctor, he doesn’t come to you. You seek out his advice and if you believe him, you do as he tells you to do. Why? Because in your mind, the doctor is the expert who can help you with your ailment.

It’s pure genius what the medical industry has done to make almost everyone just go straight to them when they have a health problem.

As a network marketer, there are basically two ways you can build your business…

1. The Hard Way… where you make a big list and talk to everybody you have ever known about “a great way to make extra money”, talk to anybody that comes within 3 feet of you, make cold calls to strangers everyday, place flyers on windshields and in mailboxes, etc, etc.

2. The Easy Way… where people contact you for your help, advice and information about your business.

If you’ve never thought of doing your business The Easy Way, let me tell you, is entirely possible. It’s how I’m building my business and it’s how many others are using the internet to build theirs.

The philosophy behind getting targeted MLM leads to come to you, is to help other people solve their problems.

“What do you mean by that?” I hear you ask.

What I mean is instead asking people if they might just happen to be looking for a business opportunity, help other people who are already doing a similar business.

Yes… help other network marketers become more successful in their own network marketing business.

“How is that going to build my business?”

Good question. First, other network marketers are the most targeted, most qualified prospects you can get, because they already understand the concept and believe in it and want to be successful with it.

They won’t bring up lousy objections like “isn’t that a pyramid scheme?” …or… “if this company you’re promoting is so great, then aren’t you making any money from it?”

There are a countless network marketers who are “lost” and looking for answers. Some have struggled doing things The Hard Way for a long time and had no success. Some have not had any support from their upline or sponsor. For some, their company may have gone out of business or was shut down by the government.

If you position yourself as someone who can help them do better in business, they will be drawn to you.

“How do they become my lead?”

Now that we have identified a target market (network marketers), we can generate leads from this market by offering these people something valuable in exchange for their contact details.

Personally, I offer a free ebook written by my coach and mentor, a 30 year veteran of the MLM industry. The ebook is targeted at NETWORK MARKETERS. There is no reason for anybody else to download it.

In my experience, 40% of people who download my ebook are people who are looking for an opportunity. Great, build a relationship with them and see if your opportunity is good fit. The other 60% are people who are already in a company, but looking for answers.

“So what do you do with the other 60%?”

Well, you don’t pitch them your business. You don’t ignore them either. You want to build a long term relationship with these people by being a friend, coaching them and mentoring them to be more successful in the industry.

Build Know, Like, and Trust, because if they are getting better support from you than their own upline, they’ll eventually want to have a look at your offer.

Hey there Wayne,
I’m all for #2, the easier way. The concept behind this is very easy, although those who are not willing to put forth some effort, it’s also too easy for them to not do it.

And, this is why I believe in providing the biggest bang, “value” to my target audience. This is when you will get others interested in what you are doing.

Plus, the more you are doing it, others will soon see you as someone who is in it for the long-haul.

Glad you’re in it for the long-haul.

Yes, the concept is very easy but it does require some effort to learn and apply the skills.

Good to see you here. I had a go at doing things the hard way. It was a good experience, but I wouldn’t build my business like that.

And having a system that people plug into that teaches them the skills they need to promote themselves in the right way and attract others is essential.

Hey Wayne,

Great Post. Setting up your sales funnel properly to optimize targeted exposure is the best way I know to attract quality leads. Constantly hitting them with value, and giving much more often than you try to take.

In the end, value is what is attractive. I see a lot of value here. You give great advice.
