Why I Believe Network Marketing Has A Bright Future

in Why Network Marketing?

The 1999 blockbuster movie “The Matrix” is one of my favourite movies of all time. To me, it was not just a great action movie, it conveyed a very powerful message. To me, it was all about self awareness and becoming a sovereign individual, much like how “Neo” was “The One”.

I can hear you saying “What is he on about?”, so let me explain… The Matrix, a programmed reality that keeps humans docile in their captivity to the machines, is the perfect metaphor for how most people are “programmed” to live in our society.

Our society values the paradigm of a formal education, complete with a university degree or a training certificate, which holds the key to a life long career in a certain profession, whether it be engineering, carpentry, dentistry, etc, etc. If you want to change your career, you have to go back to school and get another certificate. If you’re not willing to do that, too bad, you’re not qualified.

And if you’re no good at reading, maths, science, or school in general, too bad. You are a failure and destined for a career as cleaner, or labourer, or some other low paying job.

Modern society has conditioned us right from the beginning to be employees, to work for money, to be dependent on a job, and others for our survival. It has conditioned us NOT to be self sufficient, NOT to be excellent, NOT to be responsible for our own future. It has programmed us to be apathetic, to be modern day slaves.

I believe there’s something inherently evil about that, because people are not treated as individuals, but numbers. All of our blue and white collar jobs are replaceable. Not only are they replaceable, they are also gradually disappearing.

Robert Kiyosaki has been a hugely positive influence on my life. I can proudly say that through the teachings in his books, he set me on my path in this wonderful industry of network marketing. He has been talking about this shift since “Rich Dad’s Prophecy” was first published in 2002.

“Why We Want You To Be Rich” coauthored with Donald Trump in 2007, was another warning about how even the highly sought after skilled jobs of rich Western nations are migrating to rapidly developing countries such as China, India and Vietnam. And whilst the middle class of those developing countries are expanding, the middle class of the United States is shrinking, creating a greater divide between the rich and poor.

In the coming decades, people will finally realise that their current paradigm of getting a formal education and working for the corporations over several decades to earn a steady wage, will become less and less relevant. And it will be increasingly difficult for them to have long term financial security in that paradigm.

A lot of these people won’t know what to do about it. They’ve been so indoctrinated in this education system of the industrial age that they won’t even consider what other possibilities there are.

The only way out is to start a business. As the industrial age slowly dies off, so will the era of mass employment. More and more people will have no choice but to become entrepreneurs and self sufficient, much like the cottage industries of the 18th and 19th Centuries.

The key is to start a business that provides value to a lot of people. That’s exactly what a network marketing business is about and that’s why I believe network marketing has a bright future.

People will need an alternative. That’s where your MLM business comes. If you’re a struggling networker, facing rejection from friends, colleagues and MLM nay-sayers, don’t be apologetic. Continue developing yourself into the leader people want to work with and position yourself to help those who will come to you in need.

To your MLM success,

Hey Wayne,

Totally with you on this one.

And it’s kinda weird how The Matrix is popping up everywhere these
days. Just read another post by Rebecca Geiger about this…

This movie touches people on so many levels.

Hey Jason,

It’s great to see you here. Thanks you for commenting.

There was the before and after in my case. When I first saw this movie I was just 15 years old and I thought it was awesome because of the special effects and action sequences.

But now, 11 years later and having watched it again and having experienced life as an entrepreneur, the movie has taken on a whole new meaning for me. Isn’t it funny how books and movies do that?

Wayne,

I couldn’t of said it better myself. The 95% world is so ingrained in America their minds are shut down and most just accept the path they unknowingly choose as reality.

Most network marketing and MLM businesses provide such great products and services along with a great way to break free from the hamster wheel and begin to live a life by design rather than default.

I thoroughly enjoyed the article. Keep it Up!

Hey Karl,

Great to see you here. Thanks for the kind words.

The way I see MLM is that really, it’s personal development with a compensation plan attached to it. Personal development is what it takes to break free of that mediocre lifestyle.

Cheers,

Wayne

Great points Wayne,

I’m looking forward to the days when corporations aren’t running the show anymore.

Hey Derek,

People who work in corporations often laugh at network marketers. I’m looking forward to the day when we have the last laugh.
